Eibsee Hotel - Grainau

We spent an very nice holiday season at this gorgeous hotel on Lake Eibsee! The amazing views of the Alps and the serene lake made our family hike around the area lovely. Plus, the kids loved the outdoor play area and indoor kids club.

In my wife's opinion, the pool water temperature could be warmer for little ones.

Yummy food in the restaurant, savoury and very tasty breakfast with food cooked to order if required and minus drinks, as for instance. Amazing location on the lake side with views on the mountain'.

Double room was bright with exceptionally comfortable bed;))

I had a room with a view of the Eibsee lake and it is beautiful! The lake is surrounded by majestic mountains and a hiking/biking path. The hotel rents bicycles as well. You will have to drive out from Eibsee if you wish to dine anywhere other than the Eibsee Hotel or it's Veranda restaurant on the lake. The hotel staff speak English and were helpful in every way. The breakfast is a separate charge and it is wonderful with all kinds of things to choose to include American style bacon and scrambled eggs. If you'd like to take the cable car up to the Zugspitze you can easily do that as the bahn is nearby the hotel.

The location near Eibsee lake is amazing, providing fine views from my room. The staff was attentive and ensured my needs were met effectively . The hotel offers excellent leisure facilities, including an indoor swimming pool and easy access to water activities like kayaking and paddleboarding.

Dining options were limited and lacked variety for dietary needs.

A fantastic hotel in a really good location for skiing on the Zugspitze. The food served was excellent with lots of variety and the service of staff was also very good.

Perfect location on the lake, steps from the cable car to the highest Alpine pick in Germany, steps from the little scenic train taking you to any of the stunning walking paths. The breakfast included - excellent option to take ! The bathrobes and sleepers supplied - great for going to the indoor pool, lake deck & gazeebo. Room with Zugspitze view is worth every penny - stunning views from the large balcony. The massage therapist - Axel - was a life saver - after the Transatlantic flights, as well as after the daily hiking - world class massage! The staff is helpful & very friendly. Great hiking holiday with class !!!

A lakeside birthday surprise

Waking up to amazing lake views was a birthday dream come true! The warmth from the staff added a special touch to our stay.

The noise from nearby events in the evening interrupted our late-night relaxation, causing some frustration during our otherwise peaceful getaway.

The room is bright. The point is the lake view was an unexpected bonus.

Location was great with fantastic views to Zugspitz and lake.

Hotel has a number of dining options which could be better explained to arriving guests.
